KL7/KB7Q 6 meter EME Operations
I'll be operating portable with a generator from the beach on Cook Inlet from my fifth-wheel trailer. Unfortunately I have hills that subtend 3 to 10 degrees to the east, but I can elevate. From 180 degrees azimuth onward I have a quiet salt water horizon, and a perfect situation for moonset looking out over 50 miles of water to the west. Exciting news - GJ Tracker tells me I do have some hour long European windows on my setting moon.
RV Station - I'll be running a 6M7JHV Yagi w/ manual elevation/rotation, Elecraft K3 w/PR6 preamp, and a 800 watt amp. There is a possibility of finding a QTH with a salt water moonrise easterly horizon, I'm exploring that option. I have Internet access to the ON4KST EME chat page and skeds are very welcome.
